Provided by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO)

Common Core Science Standards

The new common core ELA standards are mainly English standards, but they incorporate a lot of non-fiction reading and writing in science and technology. The new standards are broken down by grade level, 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12 and are broken down into several sections. Students will be assessed using the Depth of Knowledge (DOK).
